    Your tour guide will meet you at Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah at 11:00 am on Day 1, so please book a flight that arrives by 10 am. Alternatively, you can be collected at your accommodation in Salt Lake City at 9:30am if you are already in town.

  • Day 1:

    Your hiking guide will meet you at Salt Lake City Airport where you’ll jump in the van, meet your guides, and fellow group members. After a quick stop for lunch, you’ll review the week’s itinerary before making the 4-hour drive to Capitol Reef. Upon arrival, you’ll warm up your legs with an early evening hike before checking into your campsite.

    In the evening you’ll have dinner with the group while your guide gives you the low-down on the big hike tomorrow. Don’t forget to check out the starry sky before bed!

    Get at early start as we start our backpacking adventure!

    Day 3:

    Hike to your second campite.

    Day 4:

    After a delicious camp breakfast, you’ll make your way out of the backcountry.

    We’ll spend the evening at the stunning Skyview Hotel in Torrey.

    Day 5:

    Take in a final desert sunrise before it’s time to pack up. You’ll have breakfast in town and take one more hike before returning to Salt Lake City for your departing flight, amongst your new friends. Until next time!

Cancellations made within 7 days of the departure date are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols
Keeping folks safe is our top priority. Participants exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, who receive a positive test result, or who have had direct exposure to a positive case within 10 days of a trip’s departure will be asked to postpone their booking to a later date (additional fees may apply but we’ll work with you to find the most fair solution).

Please note that Good Trip Adventures is not responsible for the cost of any flight changes or additional travel expenses if a participant is requested to change trip dates for safety reasons. We highly encourage you to research and adhere to any travel restrictions or requirements put in place by local authorities before your trip.

What should I bring for hiking clothes?

We suggest packing a variety of layers (re: puffer, fleece layer, tights, knit hat, shorts). Layers can be shed as the day warms up. Poly-blends are great for hiking as they wick sweat away from the body.

When does the trip conclude on the final day?

Your trip ends back at Salt Lake City International Airport at around 4:00 pm on Day 5. Please book a flight that leaves after 6:00PM to ensure you have enough time to check-in. Alternatively you can be dropped at your accommodation in Salt Lake City if you are staying to explore.
